Mundan Ceremony in Tirupathi - She became Gundamma!!!

Chiccu had her first tonsuring in Tirupathi... As she completed her 8th month..we had plans to do her Mundan ceremony @ Tirupathi with Lord Venkateshwara swamy blessings..

On that day.. we got up early in the morning @ 4:00 AM..as expected we found a very big lane in ticket counter for tonsuring .....

We were looking on each of the semi lanes and checking out which one will complete soon so that we can make out for early darshan after her tonsuring...

By luck, we asked one person that is there any lane meant especially for Kids.. he mentioned no..and he handover his ticket to us.... SO Nice of him...We were really thankful to him.. because of him we are able to do Chiccu's mundan early as well we were on time for Darshan also..

After her Mundan Ceremony

During tonsuring, chiccu was bit sleeply.. Deepu was holding her and I was talking to her..we were singing her favourite songs.. rhymes..She was quite and co-operated us very well...

Thankful to barber .. he did her tonsuring very nicely and carefully without any scars...

After her tonsuring, we took bath and went for Darshana.

For Darshana, we have separate queue for kids who are under 1 year old and there parents has to accompany them...so within 1 hour time we completed our Darshana.

Because of Chiccu, we did Lord Venkateshwara swamy darshan nicely and very early :-)

After her mundan "Gundamma" became one of her nick name  :-)

As Chiccu likes to sit now a days I thought it will be good idea to buy carry cot!!!..So I got one for her.. where we can swing, bounce, rock, have her food while watching TV and even she can take bath also!!!!!

My Angel's first Deepavali...- 27th October 2011

She is very happy to watch the crackers... There was different set of amazement in her face....

Totally she was very much surprise to see the crackers busting especially Colour Sparklers and she is very much showing eagerness to hold it....

Anna Prashana Shathra..- 1st October 2011

Chicu is about is complete 6 months by 4th October so I thought it will good if we have Anna prashana shatra ( First feed of Rice - means - solid food ) to her.

On 1st Oct, I prepared plain rice which is more of pastry contistency and ಗಸ ಗಸೆ ಪಾಯಸ ( Poppy Seeds Payasam) mixed both of it. Infront of God and with the all his blessing her daddi fed her first bite of rice :-)...

You know what??? she actually liked it :-) :-)

Naming Ceremony - 14th August 2011

This is the day when my Chicu became CHARISMA!!!!!

She got up ready by 8 AM in the morning till 5 PM Chicu was literally busy meeting everyone..She was very quite and happy too.... She was looking very nice in traditional dress and western outfit....

As the Top was looking very classic... I wanted to make more attractive... I did some kalakari...on the Chicu's dress ...After my unimagine design outfit looked as below...I was impressed :-) :-)

Getting ready for Naming ceremony....- 4th August 2011

Chicu is getting ready for her naming ceremony.... which is on 14th Aug 2011..
She is going to be in new traditional dress ( ಉದ್ದ ಲಂಗ ) with her new traditional jewels...

Every one is more excited to see her in new dress and jewels and give her a NAME....

Today she completed her 4th Month ... Now she is able to recognise few familiar faces...my Mom, Her Dad ( possibily...) if the toys or things get closer to her, she tries to hold it...She rolls left and right.. when puts on her tummy she lifts her head...

Another Milestone completion from Chicu - 4th July 2011

Chicu completed her 3rd Month... And Now she is able to recoginse me.... ( I am happy and glad to say this!!!!) .. She turns to different noise and sound very well...

Chiccu's warm entry to my Sweet Home - 26th June 2011

Chiccu's Gruhapravesha to our sweet home was really memorable as it was rainy and windy through the day!!!!

We tried our best to enter our home in the morning itself but with unavoidable situations we ended up entrying our home @ 6:00 PM.. Weather was literally very cold and windy... .. I would say Chicu's welcome was not Warm.. It was chilled!!!! :-) :-) :-)

Ear Pearsing - 22nd June 2011

Chicu's first Gold Ornament : It's her Ear rings...

While her ear's was pearsed, she cried breathless for 2 -3 secs and her Dad's eyes went literally wet .... Seeing all these things, I was totally scared about the after effect thinking Chicu will be uncomfortable for next three days due to the pain...But luckily within a half an hour, she forgot what she went through and started smiling!!!

That's why people say kids can make you go crazy within in fraction of secs with there super power!!!!

I was glad that she adjusted to her new thing without giving any trouble for us...Probably she liked her ear rings that's why :-) :-)

Chiccu's first Family Outing...- 19th June 2011

For the first time after three long months... Myself and Chicu got chance to go out!!!
Guess where.. for Temple...:-)
We visited Lord Ganesh and Venkateshwara temple on this day to have lot of blessing to Chicu!!!!

Two things to Celebrate - 4th June 2011

Chicu completed her 2nd Month on June 4th 2011 as well my hubby returned from US after 2 months.. A Day of Celebration!!!!
Now she able to track objects and people at smaller distance, makes noises other than crying And great thing is she started smiling!!!

Chicu's First Visit to Clinic - 16th April 2011

Chicu visited Child Clinic for the first in Wilson garden to have her TSH test. ( Thyriod Stimulating Hormone ).

Test result was Normal!!!

Taste of Honey to Chicu - April 14th 2011

In our tradition, once the little one are arrived, we do pooja to make "Shudhi" which is going to be the 11th day from the date of baby's birth.
Some people will do Namakarana ( Naming Ceremony) on that day itself. But we decided to do it in August once Chicu completes her 4th Month....
Till 11th day, I am suppose to have only light food which is truly saltless, non spicy - Totally tasteless!!!!
On April 14th, Once pooja is done I got to taste pinch of sweet( Payasam) and little spicy sambar ( ತಿಳಿ ಸಾರು )..... And my Chicu tasted first time Honey on that day!!!!

My Chiccu's first step to the world on April 4th 2011

As everyone was busy in celebrating Ugadi fest, my chicu was making herself ready to come to the new exciting world!!!This day was memorable day for me for so many reasons...especially for good ones...one of the known one is new member arrival to my family...in addition to this she was born on festival day....I was very happy because my hubby did pooja and give me prasadam before Chicu was born on that day!!!!! I would like to thank my Gyne Dr. Rekha Mahantesh who tried her best and tolerated me a lot during my delivery.
